On a balmy May and June evening in Mumbai, age took a backseat. Voices soared, feet danced, and memories were made—thanks to Shreeji Sharan’s Senior Citizen Karaoke Competitions.
Held at Poinsar Gymkhana and Gopalji Hemraj School, the events welcomed over 1,000 senior citizens and spotlighted 36 performers who sang not just from their lungs, but their souls.
An 85-year-old man took to the dance floor with the energy of a teenager. His joy lit up the hall. “Abhi toh main jawaan hoon,” he declared—and we believed him.
But the emotional highpoint? When couples married for 50+ years were honored. Or when 75+ year-old citizens received certificates. The applause was long. The emotions, deep.
In a world moving fast, Shreeji Sharan paused to honour those who paved the path—with music, respect, and heartfelt gratitude.
