As a BCom graduate, I embarked on a diverse career path, working with multiple companies across various industries. In 2019, I delved into the world of blogging and content creation Lifestyle & recipe curator, honing my skills in digital communication. In 2021, a remarkable opportunity arose, allowing me to become a co-author of a book ‘THE UNTOLD LIES’. Drawing from my extensive experience in blogging and content creation, I subsequently established my own venture—THE MEDIA BLOOM-a social media agency—leveraging my expertise to help businesses thrive in the digital world.
As founder of a social media agency, I have the opportunity to help businesses and individuals establish and enhance their online presence to make others venture successful What inspired you to start your own business? As a woman I embrace the power within me to break barriers, shatter glass ceilings, and create a world where dreams have no gender. My Dreams and passion inspired me. All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them. What challenges did you face when starting your business, and how did you overcome them? Building a strong team as a start-up is always difficult but gradually, I came cross like-minded people and build my team. Adapting to market changes is also a challenge -Markets are dynamic, and staying ahead of the curve is essential. Continuously monitor industry trends, customer preferences, and competitors’ strategies. With my amazing Gen z team, we are always trying to follow and adapt market trends & changes. How do you balance your personal and professional life as an entrepreneur?
As an entrepreneur, I strive for balance by setting clear boundaries between my work and personal life, prioritizing self-care and delegation, ensuring quality time for loved ones, and being mindful of my own well-being in order to maintain a sustainable and fulfilling lifestyle. What key skills or qualities do you think are important for a successful entrepreneur? The key skills and qualities important for a successful entrepreneur include strong leadership abilities, adaptability, and the ability to take calculated risks. Additionally, effective communication and a persistent drive to learn and innovate are crucial for navigating the challenges of entrepreneurship. How do you stay motivated during difficult times or setbacks? During difficult times or setbacks, I stay motivated by reminding myself of my resilience and focusing on the lessons learned, knowing that each challenge brings an opportunity for growth. Additionally, seeking support from loved ones and maintaining a positive mindset keeps me focused on the path forward, even in the face of adversity. Have you encountered any gender-specific challenges as a female entrepreneur? If so, how did you navigate them? As a Female entrepreneur I often face biases and stereotypes that can hinder my progress. I have encounter scepticism or doubts about my abilities, especially in traditionally male-dominated industries and I recently faced this. To navigate this challenge, I am building a strong support network. I try to surround myself with like-minded individuals who believe in my capabilities and can provide guidance and mentorship.
What advice would you give to other aspiring female entrepreneurs who are just starting out? Believe in yourself first than other will do, believe in your capabilities and embrace your unique perspective always follow your dreams keep yourself first. Surround yourself with a supportive network and never be afraid to take risks, they often lead to great opportunities. Do not procrastinate or sit for someone’s permission to start your journey. How do you approach networking and building professional relationships within your industry? To effectively network and build professional relationships within my industry, I prioritize active engagement by attending industry events, reaching out to professionals for informational interviews, and leveraging online platforms to connect with like-minded individuals. I also strive to offer genuine support and value to others, fostering a mutually beneficial exchange that nurtures long-term connections. I am constantly fed with new information and updates from a wide range of sources, such as books, research papers, articles, and websites, allowing me to stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in various fields.
