Navodaya is a blessing for underprivileged children — Ravi Kumar Nishad
Today, on 16 September 2025 (Tuesday), Jai Dharti Maa Foundation conducted a Navodaya Awareness Campaign at Utkramit Uchch Vidyalaya, Phulwar, Katras Aanchal. Addressing the students of classes 8 and 10, the foundation’s founder Ravi Kumar Nishad said that Navodaya Vidyalayas are a boon for poor children. All essential facilities such as accommodation, food, education, clothing, and other necessities are provided here completely free of cost.
Director of Sankalp Education and District Secretary of Jai Dharti Maa Foundation, Sahdev Mahato, informed the students that this is a golden opportunity for Class 8 and Class 10 students. For the 2026–27 session, the applicant’s date of birth must be between 1 May 2011 and 31 July 2013 for Class 6 admission. For Class 11, the candidate’s date of birth must fall between 1 June 2009 and 31 July 2011. The last date to apply online through the official website of the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti is 23 September 2025.
To make the program successful, Principal Rajesh Kumar Mahato, Jai Dharti Maa Foundation co-founder Ranjit Kumar, Tribal Welfare Officer Sudhir Hembram, Program Officer Shamsher Ali, school teachers, and many students were present. On this occasion, a tree plantation drive was also carried out in the school premises.
