Band-It 2025 Regional Rounds Spotlight India’s Next Generation of Performing Artists The regional rounds of Band-It 2025, India’s largest inter-school performing arts competition, concluded successfully across the country, bringing together thousands of young performers in a vibrant celebration of talent, creativity, and confidence. With enthusiastic participation from students and schools nationwide, the event reaffirmed the growing importance of performing arts in holistic education. Conducted across 11 major cities — Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Madurai, Pune, Mumbai, Chennai, Nagpur, Noida, Hyderabad, and Udaipur — Band-It 2025 witnessed participation from over 400 schools and more than 5,000 student performers. Each regional round transformed into a high-energy showcase, reflecting the diversity and depth of India’s emerging student talent. The stages came alive with an impressive range of performances, including powerful vocal acts, technically accomplished instrumental showcases, energetic dance routines, and expressive speech and drama presentations. Beyond competition, the regional rounds encouraged teamwork, discipline, and artistic expression, offering students a professionally curated platform to build confidence and stage presence. A Platform Rooted in Legacy and Purpose Band-It is an initiative of Furtados School of Music (FSM), an institution with a legacy spanning over 160 years in India’s music and performing arts education landscape. Founded in 1865, Furtados has grown from a single heritage music store into a nationwide leader in music education, performance platforms, and digital learning solutions. Originally launched as a music competition, Band-It has evolved into a comprehensive inter-school performing arts festival, expanding to include Dance and Speech & Drama alongside vocal and instrumental music. This growth reflects FSM’s belief that every child deserves a stage to explore and express their creative potential. Strengthening Impact Through Global Schools Group Partnership The 2025 edition of Band-It marked a significant milestone with Global Schools Group (GSG) joining as the Official Partner. As one of the world’s leading education networks with over 60 schools across 11 countries, GSG’s involvement helped expand the reach and influence of the competition across India. Several GSG institutions, including Witty International, Glendale, and Global Indian International School (GIIS), also served as Venue Partners, providing state-of-the-art auditoriums and campuses. Their support ensured a high-quality experience for students, parents, and educators, reinforcing GSG’s commitment to holistic education that balances academics with arts and experiential learning. Visionary Leadership and Enduring Support The continued growth of Band-It is guided by the leadership of Dharini Upadhyaya and Tanuja Gomes, Co-CEOs and Co-Founders of Furtados School of Music. Their vision of integrating structured learning with meaningful performance opportunities has shaped Band-It into a nationally recognised platform for young performers. The initiative is further strengthened by the support of Anthony Gomes and Joseph Gomes, who carry forward the Furtados legacy and ensure the platform’s sustained growth, quality, and national reach. As Band-It 2025 moves closer to its Grand Finale, the regional rounds stand as a powerful testament to the confidence, creativity, and potential of India’s young performers. Band-It continues to celebrate not just artistic excellence, but the dreams and aspirations of the stars of tomorrow.

Dr. Avinash Talele: Redefining Cancer Care in Thane

entrepreneursbiography October 17, 2025
Dr. Avinash Talele

Hope Lives Here: Dr. Avinash Talele at Restora Oncocare Center is Redefining World-Class Oncology Care with Cure and Compassion.

For those navigating the challenging journey of a cancer diagnosis, hope can feel distant. Yet, for countless families across Dombivli, Kalyan, Thane, and Navi Mumbai, hope has found a home. It resides within the walls of the Restora Oncocare Center, embodied by the work of Dr. Avinash Talele, a distinguished MD, DM Medical Oncologist and Hemato-oncologist who is fundamentally changing what it means to receive world-class cancer care.

The Bedrock of Brilliance

True expertise is built on a foundation of exceptional training and proven intellect. Dr. Talele’s journey is a testament to this. His academic prowess was recognized early on when he was awarded the prestigious T. B. Patel Gold Medal in Medical Oncology, an honor that marked him as a leader among his peers. This inherent talent was then honed at India’s most revered cancer institution, the Tata Memorial Hospital.

Training at Tata Memorial is the gold standard, providing an unparalleled depth of experience with the most complex and rare forms of cancer. This rigorous background ensures that Dr. Talele’s approach is not just informed by textbooks, but forged in the crucible of high-stakes clinical practice. He brings this elite standard of care directly to our community, making globally recognized expertise accessible locally.

Redefining the Cure with Precision Science

Dr. Avinash Talele

Dr. Talele stands at the vanguard of modern oncology, not just as a practitioner, but as a pioneer. He is a key contributor to the future of medicine as an author of multiple clinical trials, actively shaping the development of tomorrow’s cancer treatments. This direct involvement in research gives his patients a significant advantage: access to cutting-edge therapies and a physician whose knowledge is at the absolute forefront of the field.

This pioneering spirit is most evident in his treatment philosophy. While an expert in conventional chemotherapy, he specializes in precision oncology. This is a revolutionary shift away from a one-size-fits-all model. By analyzing the unique genetic profile of a tumor, Dr. Talele designs personalized and targeted therapies that attack cancer cells with incredible accuracy. This intelligent approach maximizes the potential for a cure while minimizing the debilitating side effects often associated with traditional treatments, preserving the patient’s quality of life.

The Heart of Healing: Compassion in Action

For Dr. Talele, the mission of healing extends far beyond science. He understands that the person is more than their diagnosis. The “compassion” in his practice is a tangible, powerful force that complements the “cure.” Patients consistently speak of his calm, reassuring demeanor and his unique ability to explain complex medical information with clarity and empathy.

He fosters a partnership built on trust, ensuring that patients and their families feel heard, supported, and empowered throughout their journey. In the face of fear, he provides strength. In the face of uncertainty, he provides a clear, steady path forward. It is this unwavering commitment to treating the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—that has earned him the reputation as the best and most trusted oncologist in the Thane, Dombivli, and Kalyan region.

At Restora Oncocare Center, Dr. Avinash Talele has created more than a community oncology center; he has built a sanctuary where science and soul meet. He proves every day that world-class care is not just about advanced technology and brilliant minds, but about the profound, healing power of hope.

A message from Dr. Avinash Talele:

“Your fight is our fight. In this journey, you are never alone; together, we move towards a future defined not by disease, but by life.”
